EcoEdge provides a comprehensive solution using VRM products and a Groundswell® continuous fermentation process to reinvigorate the biodiversity in the soil and ultimately provide nutrients to the plants and trees, therefore reducing the dependence on chemical fertilizers.

The Groundswell® process will also provide irrigation via hydrosynthesis, while capturing carbon from the air to be sequestered into the soil. All these benefits are achieved by converting the organic “wastes” from your farm and the local area and transforming them into a highly valuable topsoiil we call Humisoil®.

Step by Step Guide to Create Humisoil

Step 1

Identify and Collect Oil Palm Plantation organic waste (e.g. EFB, palm fronds, palm trunks cut grass, pruned stalks, cleared undergrowth)

Step 2

Shred EFB, palm fronds and tree trunks to make smaller pieces of organic waste

Step 3

Identify and collect oil palm milll waste (e.g. decanter cake, palm kernel shells, mesocarp fibre, boiler ash, POME, sludge)

Step 4

Add potential sources of other organic waste as feedstock (e.g. poultry manure, cow dung, goat dung, crop waste, fruit shells, fish waste, food waste)

Step 5

Mix the organic waste together

Step 6

Spray organic matter while mixing together

Step 7

Make a Groundswell® pile and cover with a tarpaulin. This can be done on top of sludge lagoons or even in between the lines of trees depending on the space you have available

Step 8

Harvest the final Humisoil® product and apply back to the oil palm plantation

Our goal in your oil palm plantation from an achievable target perspective are to have a dramatic impact on your iput costs. While we do this we expect to maintain the same yield as with your existing growing process as well as more consistent yields during drought periods. We are able to do this as Humisoil® when applied to agricultural land biologically generates water (Hydrosynthesis).

The final product we produce is called Humisoil®. It is high in Humic Acid and Available Phosphorus. It provides for the ability to add carbon back to the soil and adds nutrients back to the soil rather than depleting it.
